Damn voices inside my head!
Telling me this, telling my that
Filling my heart with dread.
“You’re no good.” “Did you think you could?”
Reverberates my mind.
“Hush now…” it says, “You know you should…”
Negatives of EVERY kind!
“You lie!” I say. “I can do it!!”
In your face, I kick the dirt.
“To Hell!” I say. “Into the pit!”
“You’re not the damn expert!”
