Psalms 5:4-6
4 Because you aren’t a God
who enjoys wickedness;
evil doesn’t live with you.
5 Arrogant people won’t last long
in your sight;
you hate all evildoers;
6 you destroy liars.
The Lord despises people who are violent and dishonest.
Your people, oh Lord, are being persecuted. Your people are being killed simply because they bow their heads to pray to you. Young and old, male and female, it makes no difference to the abusers, all are taken from their homes, tortured and killed. Oh Lord, please, help and rescue your people.
Lord, you have abundantly blessed Christians in America; we face no such terror. God you call us to pray. You call us to keep our silence no more. Help us as Christians to heed your call.
Please Lord, honor the words David wrote thousands of years ago. We know with David, you despise wickedness, evil, arrogance, lies, violence and dishonesty. Every one of these sins lead to the death of innocents.
Please break our stony hearts, make us tender and compassionate to the cries of our persecuted brothers and sisters. Please God, strike down the workers of iniquity who seek to harm your children. Open our eyes that we may see what you have called us to do, and then give us courage to walk that path.
For we know, we can do all things through Jesus Christ, and so it is in His name we pray.
Amen
