Day 3:  Water & Orientation

We have different relationships to and stories about water: how it has saved or defeated us. How it reminds us of family vacations, outdoor adventures, or the hot summers of our childhood. How it might symbolize a place we’ve left behind, or a location we dream to go.

This photo,very dear to my heart, was taken at Hampton Beach New Hampshire.  We had just relocated to the area from the Piedmont region of North Carolina. Maggie our Golden had never seen the ocean, and she seemed quite impressed with the massive water bowl in front of her…impressed, that is, until she tried to partake!  It took a couple of laps for before she realized it was a different breed of water than what resided in her bowl on the kitchen floor.

Maggie has since journeyed over the rainbow bridge.
